Wednesday 5 September
Today we had a quieter day, heading to les Baux de-Provence. We loved this town and it’s countryside around. It was very windy so we didn’t stay ages, but enjoyed wandering around with Carly in the backpack, or holding our hands. She was very well behaved this holiday. But it is fair to say the Frenchies are not “children” people … very hard faced and generally pretty unfriendly. After les Baux we headed to St Remy for a walk around the market (heaving) and a spot of lunch (a gross pizza) … we didn’t really get a good taste of fine Provencial cuisine … bit difficult with CG who doesn’t tend to sit still longer than a minute at a time. On the way home we stopped for a nosey in Avignon and went along the old bridge, but Carly was tired and it was quite hard work so we didn’t stay too long.
